Bonnie Copper
Bonnie has been a Board Member for three years, but has been a BHHT member for many years. She moved to the Blue Hill area 37 years ago to become the librarian at George Stevens Academy. In 1985 she and her husband built their log cabin on the shore of Wight Pond in Penobscot. It was her childhood dream to live in Maine because of its natural beauty and the great variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and canoeing, and cross country skiing. Connecting the children of our peninsula with their beautiful natural environment is a passion of hers. The Walks and Talks of the BHHT are the perfect opportunity for families to begin to explore the Trust’s lands and paths. Since retiring from GSA, Bonnie serves on the Board of the Friends of the B.H. Library, volunteers at The Turnstyle, travels and reads.
