Jon Hopkins

Peggy and I have lived on Flye Point in Brooklin for nineteen years. We are both active in town affairs and greatly value the sense of community that Brooklin fosters.

I have a degree in English from Dartmouth and an MBA from the University of Virginia. After two years in the Army, I worked in marketing, strategic planning and business development in the automotive components industry for thirty years.

I have served on the Planning Board and the Comprehensive Plan committee in Brooklin, and on the boards of BHHT, Liberty School, 40/15 Tennis Inc, Brooklin Community Housing and Brooklin Sailing Association. I founded and play in the Brooklin Town Band and sing in the Bagaduce Chorale. Peggy and I are avid hikers, bikers and boaters.

I am interested in helping preserve  lands that provide for public use and access, particularly to water, balanced by protection of wildlife habitat.  And I support the conservation of farmland when it enables local farmers to make a living, and sustainable forestry where it can live comfortably with our other goals.
