Passamaquoddy Man Transcribes Recordings of Voices from the Past

‘If you want to speak a language and want to help revitalize a language, join us,’ says Dwayne Tomah

We had the privilege of hosting Dwayne Tomah for two inspiring presentations on November 6th and 7th as part of BHHT’s Wabanaki Speaker Series. Dwayne Tomah — a Passamaquoddy language-keeper and tribal council member — spoke about the importance of language revitalization, cultural resilience, and the relationship between the natural world and Indigenous knowledge.
