John Merrifieldwas born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA attending Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie-Mellon University) and graduating with a BS in Industrial Management in 1964. After graduation, John married Carol, his wife of 47 years, and they moved to the Midwest. They raised a family of three children. John worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years holding various positions in product and business planning functions for the Automotive Components Division of Ford. John received an MBA from the University of Detroit in 1972. After retirement from Ford in 1997, John & Carol moved to Blue Hill, Maine to assist pianist and composer Paul Sullivan, managing his record company and concert schedule through 2001. John is actively involved in a number of charitable activities in the Blue Hill area and sings in the Bagaduce Chorale.
