Marcia McKeague

Marcia is the recently retired Vice President of Woodland Operations for Acadian Timber and President of Katahdin Timberlands LLC & Katahdin Forest Management LLC. In these roles she was responsible for the overall management of approximately 300,000 acres of company land and several hundred leased properties. Since 1995, Marcia served in a similar capacity for predecessor companies, Maine Timberlands Co. and Great Northern Paper Co. when the timberlands included 2 million acres. She started working for Great Northern Paper in 1981 on the spruce budworm planning team.

Marcia is also a board member of the Forest Society of Maine, and a former trustee of the Center for Woodlands Education. She and her husband Chris purchased a home in Blue Hill that’s been in the family since 1935 and have now made the transition to living here full time. She enjoys spending time in the woods skiing, hiking, and canoeing with family and friends.  She is also an avid gardener and bird watcher.

Marcia is excited to help conserve the area’s outstanding landscape, ecology and economy and bring her diverse experience and background in forestry to BHHT as it works to restore and manage the two largest forest blocks on the Blue Hill Peninsula.
