Merrin Brache is rejoining BHHT in 2023 as the Education and Outreach Coordinator after working as a James W. Dow intern in 2021. A native of the Blue Hill Peninsula with a long family history in the area, Merrin has always known that he wanted to work in conservation to help protect the woods, waters, and community of the place he calls home. Merrin has a BS from Prescott College in Arizona and is currently finishing his MS in environmental studies with an emphasis in conservation and sustainable community development. Prior to working at BHHT Merrin has worked at a marine conservation research and education center in Sonora, Mexico and specialized in working with community sea turtle conservation groups.
