Bluff Head

The Bluff Head trail is a 1.0 mile trail, offering varying topography, elaborate stonework leading up to the bluff, and incredible panoramic views of the Bagaduce River. This pleasant and easy walk through the woods leads to an overlook and is a great spot to stop and eat lunch while enjoying the view.  Parking can be found off Rope Ferry Rd.

Location and Parking

The parking lot and trail-head are located 0.2 miles down the Rope Ferry Road on your right, at the junction of Route 15/Mines Road and Route 176/Southern Bay Road (if on the Mines Road go straight through the intersection onto the Rope Ferry Road).  The parking area is can fit at least 5 cars.

  • Carry out what you take in.
  • Fires are not permitted.
  • Dogs must be leashed.
  • Foot traffic only.
